We’ve all been there. You’re sitting at your desk, trying to get work done, but you just can’t seem to focus. It’s like a cloud is hanging over you, and you feel completely unmotivated.
Thankfully, we have the power of music. I created a playlist that helps fuels productivity, revives spirits, and will, hopefully, get you back into getting shit done.
Studies have shown that music with a tempo of 60-70 beats per minute (this is the rhythm of your heart when it’s relaxed) can help improve focus and concentration. Here are a few instrumental gems that have helped me get into flow state:
- “The Stars in Spring” – Epic45: A sonic journey that paints vivid landscapes of inspiration.
- “Intro” – The xx: An atmospheric masterpiece that sets the stage for a great work session.
- “My Only Swerving” – El Ten Eleven: A blend of intricate guitar loops and uplifting rhythms.
- “Feel It All Around” – Washed Out*: A song that ignites a sense of tranquility and focus.
- “Greenland” – Emancipator: I find this one effortlessly transports you to a state of deep concentration.
- “The Air Between Us” – Hammock: Can we use “lush” to describe a song? Because this feels lush.
- “Presumptuous” – Kyle Dixon & Michael Stein: A synth-driven marvel that feels futuristic.
And of course, no productivity playlist would be complete without these inspiring compositions:
- “The New Earth” – Audiomachine: This song, in particular, makes me feel like I’m saving the world.
- “The Queen of All Everything” – Ott: A hypnotic fusion of electronic and world music
- “Time” – Hans Zimmer: The legendary maestro’s sonic masterpiece.
- “Theme from Comet” – Daniel Hart: all the Comet soundtrack is really good – if you haven’t seen the movie, I highly recommend it.
I hope this helps you get productive! Consider listening to my Create + Flow playlist on Spotify.
